Meeting Topic: Foreshadowing
The best mystery novels use foreshadowing like nobody’s business to build suspense. But most works of fiction should be suing foreshadowing in large or small ways to draw on readers’ anticipation for what’s to come, thus making the read more engaging and page-turning. This month we’re talking about Foreshadowing in fiction (and creative nonfiction), not only how to work it into your narrative but also how to make the technique reader-appealing…foreshadow don’t telegraph.
